Deploying OpenVPN for Seamless Interoperability
There are several different methods and models of creating VPNs. Many enterprise systems use VPNs to securely connect with remote sites over the internet. They will use dedicated VPN routers and planned routing tables to ensure employees in remote locations have access to all of the network services offered to central locations. The documentation on this site does not go down this route; the purpose of this article is to explain how OpenVPN can be deployed between multiple homes to allow all computers at those homes to operate as if they are in the same local LAN, literally operating in the same broadcast subnet without creating special routing rules or without installing software on each of the client computers.
